Red Lines

So.. i decided to highlight my hair on whim. Haven't done anything to my hair in years, and I thought I should pimp it up a little for the festive season.
But things didn't turn out as I imagined -___-
Bought a coupon off deal.com.sg for Highlight + Cut + Treatment by Hair Sense at FEP. Being a coupon deal, I was prepared to fend off all the hardselling to upgrade dye/treatment etc and I even thought of some excuses to reject all their offers HAHAHAHA. Anyway, booked the appointment for today immediately after buying the coupon because this is one of the only free days I have left :(
Got my hair cut first and I thought the cut was terrible at first because it looked nothing like the picture I showed the stylist. But it turned out to be pretty good after the blow dry. Lol.
The stylist was pretty polite and all, but she was quite rough with my hair and it kinda hurt sometimes. But they didn't try to hardsell me anything, so that's a positive point?
Anyhoo, after being shown the colour chart, I decided on a dark-ish red for my highlight but the stylist asked me to choose from a lighter shade of colours instead for more contrast because highlight "bu hui tai liang de". Swayed by her claims, I chose a shade called Secret Wish (I think????).
Wtf it turned out pretty damned bright???? I look like a sec 4 that just ended O levels and decided to DYEMYHAIRINSOMEFUNKYSHADEJUSTBECAUSEICAN :(((((((
Somemore she actually dyed a freaking streak into MY FRINGE. I think she anyhow-ed the locations of the streaks wtf. -.- Bo xim one!!!!!!!!! And the streaks are not well 'blended'?
Tell me, how do i face the world????????
The whole look is just totally UN LIKE my style. I mean it would look okay if I was into punk rock or goth-wannabe-ahlian or something but I am not.
Omg, but I can't just dye black over it right?!?!?! Maybe I should do another round of highlights in attempt to complement the red?!?!?!?! HALP.
